Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. Traffickers might use violence, manipulation, or false promises of well-paying jobs or romantic relationships to lure victims into trafficking situations.

The Genesis Project is a survivor-centered organization dedicated to combating human trafficking through comprehensive advocacy, crisis response, training, collaboration, and policy. We provide trauma-informed, relationship-based support to minors and adults impacted by human trafficking and exploitation, walking alongside survivors from identification, crisis response through recovery, stabilization, and independence. Through our Advocacy and ReClaim healthcare initiatives, we help survivors access critical services including healthcare, housing, legal support, and other resources while prioritizing safety, dignity, autonomy, and survivor choice. We also equip professionals, communities, and faith organizations to recognize and respond to trafficking, partner with law enforcement and multidisciplinary teams across Arkansas, and advance survivor-informed policies that strengthen protection, accountability, and justice.
